Since 1678, the de Vardas were important vineyard owners and grappa producers in the small town of Mezzolombardo (in the northeastern Italian region of Trentino). At the beginning of the 19th century, in a cellar like de Vardas’, Michele Dolzan started pursuing the field of distillation.
Following in his grandfather’s footsteps, and being the passionate heir of traditions, Dr. Luigi Dolza developed (through a triple distillation method), the “de Varda Method” of distillation.
The family business continues with Luigi’s sons, Michele (sales manager) and Mauro (oenologist and technician). Following their father’s teachings, the two brothers constantly manage the market requests, as well as technological changes and innovations; both managing a modern company and respecting tradition.
With the expertise of a family that has been distilling for five generations, the Dolzans enter the market with a high quality vodka distilled from grain. Vodka Italiana is obtained by mixing the best distilling tradition, and the most modern production technologies; creating a vodka extraordinarily clear, transparent and refined, with no impurities, and a smoothness that is difficult to obtain. |
