Looking for some suggested Fall Wine Pairings?  The lovely Laura DeSantis, of Capital Cooking appeared on Let’s Talk Live in D.C. this morning to share some of her favorite pairings for the season.  Three wines from Angelini Wine Distributors were featured today:

The Carpene Malvolti Prosecco Brut ($19.99) – was mentioned as a great way to kick-off any fall celebration.

The Battistina Gavi ($17.99) –  was paired with Crispy Leg of Duck Confit served with a barley risotto, parsnips, caramelized apples and a cider reduction. The Gavi was chosen for its notes of fresh citrus: ripe fruit – apples and pears; zesty with hint of minerality. (Restaurant: Art & Soul)

The Angelini Estate Sangiovese Riserva ($24.99) – was paired with Mushroom Tagliatelle.  Sangiovese is a full-bodied wine with notes of roses and leather. A Perfect accompaniment for mushroom and meat dishes.  (Restaurant:  Al Tiramisu)
