This week’s wine of the week is the Palagetto Chianti Colli Senesi.  The Chianti wine region in Tuscany is one of the most famous in the world.  Chiantis date back to the 13th century however the recipe has evolved over the years.  The Palagetto Chianti has a fresh fruity bouquet and an intense ruby red color.  The vibrant acidity and fresh, crisp tannins make this wine a perfect accompaniment to red meat dishes, wild game and pasta with red meat sauces.  The Palagetto Chianti is made of 90% Sangiovese, 5% Merlot, 5% Colorino and retails for about $14.99 a bottle.

Plan a candlelight dinner on the terrace and enjoy a nice bottle of chianti this weekend!
