Angelini Wine proudly supports the Greater Hartford Arts Council’s 10th Anniversary of ‘Big Red for the Arts’ on Thursday, March 5th from 6:30PM-9PM at The Society Room of Hartford.
All proceeds from this event benefit the Arts Council’s 2015 United Arts Campaign, which supports more than 150 arts, culture, and heritage organizations, big and small, throughout Greater Hartford.
At Big Red’s main event, the Grand Wine Tasting, guests can sample one-of-a-kind dishes from
the best local restaurants including Salute, J Restaurant and Bar, The Capital Grille, Dish Bar &
Grille, Vivo, Sorella, as well as dozens of wines and spirits from around the world. The popular
VIP Premier Wine Tasting gives guests the opportunity to meet Vito’s renowned chef and owner,
Rob Maffuci, and sample specialty wines and dishes one hour before the main event at 5:30PM.
Chef Maffuci gained national notoriety from his Food Network competitions with Chopped Champions and Iron Chef. Among the many appetizers, Chef Maffuci will prepare Papparedelle Bolognese with his cutting edge chocolate truffle pasta, which was recently featured on Beat Bobby Flay.
Angelini Wine will be featuring some of our favorite Italian wine selections including:
2013 Palagetto Vernaccia “Santa Chiara”
2012 Angelini Estate Pergola Rosso
2012 Corte Rugolin Ripasso di Valpolicella
Palagetto Sottobosco Supertuscan
Big Red for the Arts is generously sponsored by United Bank Foundation Connecticut, with
