This week’s wine of the week is the Vernaccia di San Gimignano.  If you are looking for refreshing white summer wine, the Vernaccia is a great alternative to a Pinot Grigio or Chardonnay.  The Vernaccia has fresh grape flavors that are soft and creamy.  This well balanced wine has an edgy acidity that pairs very well with fresh cooked fish.    This wine finishes with long, lasting tones of honey and retails for about $14.99 a bottle.

July is known for showcasing beautiful floral gardens.  When you are looking for a bottle of the Palagetto Vernaccia di San Gimignano, a good reminder will be to look for the pretty flowers on the front label of the bottle.  Think Summer flowers and enjoy!
